Entrance-way Signage

As everyone has seen, one of the signs in the front entrance-way was damaged by hurricane Irma. The board is working to get that replaced. However in the meantime we have been approached by Christian Care Ministries regarding purchasing / removing the other Magnolia Lakes sign so they can replace it with one that advertises their business.

The board would like to hear from you. Should we accept or reject this offer? Please comment by clicking the comment baloon in the article title. Note your comments will not appear until reviewed, so please only comment once.

Entrance-way Signage — 3 Comments

  1. I’m against the idea. It breaks up the symmetry of the entrance and would take away a tiny portion of our community identity.

  2. My vote is no. A one time benefit to our community is not worth a lifetime loss of the land, sign and greenery. The Christian Care center has a primary entrance directly off of Eau Gallie Blvd along with nearly 700 feet of land facing Eau Gallie Blvd. This land could be used for any additional sign they desire. There is no need for our community to sell the space. I do recommend adding no jay walking signs along Trent House drive as a safety measure. These signs would advise pedestrian traffic to use the legal marked crosswalks located at the intersection of Trent House Drive and Eau Gallie Blvd This action could safe everyone from an unneeded tragedy.

  3. My vote is No. The Christian Care Ministry Center already has a sign for their property. A one time unknown financial benefit doesn’t justify destroying the beautiful entryway to our neighborhood.
