Terri,
First let me clarify. The bylaws and covenants are two different documents. The bylaws govern how the association Board works. How meetings are run etc. The covenants govern the residental deed restrictions.

The online version of the covenants includes all current ammendments in-line with the text. Delete's will show up as strike-through text. Inserts will have a highlighted background color. A "Modified by xxxxx" header will include a link to the scanned image recorded with the county.

You can find links to the orignal documents here: http://www.magnolialakes.net/covenants/

The article about late assessments quotes the hoa bylaws. section 6.2. the copy i have reads different and is dated 10/24/97. how do i get a copy of the amended bylaws? 6.2 also says that the "Board shall notify the Owners of each Lot of the amount and the date which the Assessments shall be payable in one annual installment." How was this done for FY12?

The pool has been taken over by some that like to smoke. I thought the rules of the pool included "no smoking." Please make this clear for all of us. I was laughed at when I mentioned to someone that the sign on the pool said no smoking. I was told in so many words....TOUGH! Just Wondering?

Correction, the site is now being discussed as 7+\- acres.

It's also on the agenda to be discussed at tomorrow (Jan 25) night's City Counsel meeting. Visit http://www.melbourneflorida.org for location and time info.

@Pete, I appreciate your opinions. But I feel they are something of an overreaction. The site in question is a five acre lot sandwiched between the county landfill and a recycling yard. When you subtract the proposed size of the soup kitchen, and their storage areas, parking, easements etc. There isn't going to be room for "the projects" that the author of the original comment fears. Further, it's considerably more than half a mile from the front of the neighborhood. I wish you luck in your house hunting. From what I'm told, the City Counsel has already ruled out the parcel of land next to the sewage treatment plant as a potential site for this complex. Perhaps you could look there.

I was in the process of purchasing a short sale in the Magnolia Lakes neighborhood and I am so glad I stumbled upon this post! The last I thing I want to live by is the projects and a social service complex. Your neighbors should be very concerned if they plan on selling once this moves in. I could never imagine raising my family near a place where they will be busing in the homeless from all of Brevard county. I am one of those buyers that researches the area before purchasing and from what I’ve read the current operation serves 200 homeless individuals a day. They want to expand their operation on Sarno Rd to serving 600 homeless per day. You already have lost one potential buyer and I can only imagine how many more buyers you will lose when this comes to your area. Best of Luck!

My personal view point on the question, why is the Daily Bread considering our area/neighborhood to build in? WHY NOT? Were not these needy people created and loved by the same God we are? We, or they are of no GREATER or LESSER importance, and YES we are our brothers keeper. We can offer loving and monetary support to foreign lands in times of tragedy or dire need, but not the needy man, woman, or child within our own sight?
