Road Closed for Costume Party

Road Closed For Community EventFor the protection of our community members and children, part of White Oak Circle near the basketball court will be blocked to vehicle traffic from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM tomorrow for our annual costume party.  Barricades will be erected.  We ask that our residents and their guests take alternate routes through the community.

Is this your cat?

Cat found roaming neighborhood 2012-10-19 Is this your cat? Since he has been found, I’ve dubbed him Pumpkin. He is SUPER DUPER sweet, and you can tell he’s very lonely. IF he’s been dumped, he needs a loving FURever home. If he has an owner, it’s actually against code laws for ANY pet/domesticated animal, cat, dog, or otherwise, to roam off the pet owners property. Owners can be fined. I got this info from our code enforcement officer.
Pumpkin has been seen around 1125-1127 White Oak Circle for the past couple of weeks.  I want to give him a fair chance to find his home, or another loving home. IF we can’t get him placed within the next few days, I will take him to the Eau Gallie Shelter. Currently he’s living outside, and has no shelter, little, or no food, water (well there’s the pond water, but YUCK, and you never know when there’s a gator). This sweet Pumpkin deserves better then this. I can’t take him in, because my hubby is very allergic to cats. My contact info is, Charlotte Rose 321-752-7839

An ounce of prevention

Just a reminder to everyone here at Magnolia Lakes:

Though we feel relatively safe here in our community, we are not immune to criminal activity. In recent weeks there have been burglaries to two cars in our neighborhood – a trend we would not like to see continue.

Please take precautions in and around your own home and property to keep yourself and your belongings safe, such as:

  • Keep house and vehicle doors and windows locked, and set alarms if you have them.
  • Lock up valuables when not in use. Keep shades or drapes closed if necessary to avoid “advertising” valuable items inside your home.
  • Make sure your garage door is not left open when you are not in the vicinity, and be sure to close it at night.
  • If you have a fence, make sure the gates are secure.
  • If you notice any suspicious activity, do not confront anyone, but document what you see and hear and alert the authorities if necessary. Report any vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior immediately.
  • Install automatic timers on your outside porch, post and coach lights and/or motion detector lights to deter nighttime crime.

Let’s all make our neighborhood a safer place for everyone. More home safety tips can be found here: http://www.crimepreventiontips.org/home-safety/index.html
